WHO IS JASON DUVAL?
Jason Duval is one of two playable protagonists in GTA VI. A small-time criminal from the rural outskirts of Leonida, Jason is pulled deeper into the criminal underworld of Vice City through his partnership — and romantic relationship — with Lucia Caminos. Jason's background hints at a troubled upbringing with connections to local drug operations. His character arc is expected to explore themes of loyalty, ambition, and the cost of the American Dream in the modern age. Jason grew up around grifters and crooks, and after a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teens, found himself in the Keys working for local drug runners. That history connects him to Brian Heder, whose property Jason now lives on rent-free — in exchange for helping Heder with local shakedowns. Jason opens the story already tied into an established criminal operation through Heder, rather than starting from scratch.
