SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Platforms are confirmed — PC specs are not. Here's exactly what's official and what isn't.

GTA 6 is confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S — there's no PC release confirmed, so there are no minimum or recommended specs to report yet, and no official numbers exist for any platform. Anything you see elsewhere claiming exact spec numbers is not official. Here's what's actually confirmed, and what history tells us to expect once a PC version is announced.

Which platforms is GTA 6 confirmed for?

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only, launching November 19, 2026. A PC version has not been confirmed for launch.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?

Not officially — and if the pattern from Grand Theft Auto V holds, it won't be at launch. GTA V released on consoles in September 2013 and didn't reach PC until April 2015, about a year and a half later. Rockstar hasn't said whether GTA 6 will follow the same gap, but there's no PC release confirmed or dated.

What should I expect when PC specs are announced?

Based on GTA V's eventual PC requirements and the general trend of AAA open-world requirements climbing each generation, expect GTA 6 to ask for a genuinely modern GPU, a fast SSD (not just a hard drive), and meaningfully more VRAM than a launch-era PS5/Series X port typically needs. None of that is a prediction of exact numbers — just the pattern this genre has followed for a decade.

Do PS5 and Xbox Series X|S have different requirements?

No — on console there's no "spec" question the way there is on PC. Any PS5 or Xbox Series X|S will run it; Rockstar hasn't said whether there are performance/quality mode options like many current-gen titles offer.
