WHO IS RUDI?
Rudi is a Vice City local from the Crosstown neighborhood, identified only through the stickers on the back of his green Bravado pickup truck. He shows up in a social media clip embedded in GTA VI's first trailer — driving the pickup at high speed and climbing out of the driver's seat before it crashes.
The clip was posted by a user named YoMammazJammer captioned "RIP Rudi — C U in heaven, cuz," turning Rudi into one of the reveal trailer's most memorable memes, even though Rockstar has never separately confirmed whether he actually died.
THE RUDI MEME
Rudi's fate is presented entirely through an in-universe social media post rather than direct footage of an accident, keeping the character's actual outcome ambiguous by design — part of GTA VI's wider habit of building out its world through background social feeds rather than exposition.
