WHAT IS VICE-DALE COUNTY?
Vice-Dale County is the strongest-evidenced of Leonida's five counties — a county sheriff/police seal reading "Vice-Dale County" appears during the in-game Mega Noticias newscast in Trailer 2, and county-road signage recurs throughout official footage. The name is a clear play on Florida's real Miami-Dade County.
Anchored by Vice City, Vice-Dale sits in the state's south-east and forms the urban core of Leonida — the neon-soaked heart of the map and the base of operations for protagonists Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. "A long way from the '80s," it remains the sun-and-fun capital of America: pastel art deco hotels and the white sands of Ocean Beach, the panaderias of Little Cuba, the bootleg stalls of the Tisha-Wocka flea market, and the cruise-ship traffic of the VC Port.
