While announcing GTA 6: The Album, Rockstar slipped in a line that's arguably more intriguing than the album itself. According to GameSpot, the studio said fans should "stay tuned for more details about the music of GTA 6," specifically calling out the game's "dynamic score," and teasing that the game will feature the "next evolution of in-game radio, and more." No further specifics were given -- Rockstar left it at that.
It's a vague tease, but it lands on top of a pile of unconfirmed rumors that suddenly feel more plausible. GameSpot notes prior chatter about DJ Khaled potentially hosting his own in-game station, plus speculation that Drake could get one too. There's also the unverified claim that Spotify subscribers might be able to import their own playlists directly into the game. None of this is confirmed by Rockstar, but the timing of an official "next evolution" tease certainly gives those rumors new oxygen.
Worth remembering here: earlier GTA 6 trailer footage showed Lucia wearing earbuds, which fans have long theorized might mean music could follow players on foot, not just behind the wheel.
