Amazon and Uber announced a new partnership giving US Prime subscribers free Uber Eats delivery on orders of $25 or more, placed directly through Amazon's app or site.

Amazon and Uber confirmed a new partnership today that gives US Prime members free delivery through Uber Eats on orders of $25 or more. Orders have to go through Amazon's website or app rather than the standalone Uber Eats app, tying the perk directly to a Prime account.

The benefit covers the cheaper Prime for Young Adults and Prime Access tiers as well, according to Amazon. On top of the free delivery, Uber Eats is running a separate promotion through November 18 offering $20 off each of a new user's first two orders of $25 or more.

Amazon laid out the setup in three steps: go to amazon.com/ubereats or search "Uber Eats" in the Amazon Shopping app, log in with existing Amazon credentials, then browse nearby restaurants and pay with a saved Amazon payment method. Order updates arrive via Amazon's email and push notifications, with Uber Eats sending a final confirmation once the order is placed.

For GTA 6 players, the timing lines up with launch week, when plenty of Prime subscribers will already have the Amazon app open to track game shipments or digital purchases. The practical upshot is that food delivery is now folded into the same account and notification system, letting someone order dinner without leaving Amazon, whether they're waiting on a midnight unlock or just settled in for a long session.

This isn't Amazon's only recent headache around game deliveries, though it's unrelated to the Uber Eats news. The outlet also noted that some Nintendo fans have been frustrated by delayed shipments of the Ocarina of Time remake through Amazon, a reminder that the marketplace isn't without its own fulfillment issues even as it adds new subscriber perks.
