SNL Closes Out Its Season With Another GTA 6 Skit Starring Jason and Lucia

Saturday Night Live apparently isn't done mining GTA 6 for sketch material -- Jason Duval and Link reportedly got one more shot at the Weekend Update desk.
According to Kotaku, Saturday Night Live brought back its GTA 6-themed bit featuring Jason Duval and Link for what's being described as a "final pitch" segment on Weekend Update. The Kotaku piece is light on plot specifics, framing the moment mostly through a joke about Colin Jost's seemingly eternal tenure at the Update desk rather than a detailed breakdown of the sketch itself.
It's unclear from the available details exactly what the characters pitched, how long the bit ran, or whether other GTA 6 figures showed up alongside them. We'd caution readers against assuming anything beyond what's been reported here -- this looks like a recurring comedic callback rather than a new piece of hard game news.
Still, the fact that SNL keeps returning to GTA 6 material is notable in its own right. Rockstar's sequel has become so culturally ubiquitous over the past year -- from Game Informer's cover story blitz to Miami Heat arena branding deals -- that it's now reliable fodder for mainstream late-night comedy, not just gaming press. That kind of crossover visibility is arguably as telling about the game's anticipation levels as any sales projection or presale ratio.
For fans tracking every scrap of GTA 6 content, a sketch like this doesn't reveal gameplay or story details, but it does reinforce how deeply Jason and Lucia as characters have permeated pop culture ahead of launch. Given how much attention has already gone toward comparing their look and demeanor across reveals -- including the recent visual timeline of their changes since the first trailer -- seeing them parodied on a mainstream comedy stage suggests Rockstar's marketing cycle has succeeded in making these two as recognizable as any blockbuster movie duo.
Whether this truly marks the "final" SNL appearance for the bit, as Kotaku's headline suggests, remains to be seen. If GTA 6's release keeps slipping or generating fresh news cycles, it wouldn't be surprising to see Weekend Update dust off Jason and Link once again before the game actually ships.
