PlayStation 5 In-Game Footage Anchors Rockstar's Full-Length Preview
No pre-rendered cutscenes, no CGI trickery -- Rockstar says every frame of its extended look was pulled straight from PlayStation 5 gameplay.
Rockstar Games has published the full-length "Extended Look" for Grand Theft Auto VI on its YouTube channel, and according to the video's own description, the entire showcase was captured from in-game footage running on PlayStation 5 hardware.
The description frames the video as demonstrating "the biggest, most immersive evolution of the series yet," pointing to the fact that what's on screen is footage from an actual PS5, rather than a curated cinematic trailer built separately from the game itself.
Rockstar also reiterated that Grand Theft Auto VI "plays best on PlayStation 5," a notable line to include alongside footage explicitly sourced from that console. The video reconfirms the game's release is set for November 19.
As with previous marketing beats for GTA 6, this upload is likely just one piece of a broader rollout, but its emphasis on PS5-captured gameplay gives fans another data point on how the finished game may actually look and run at launch.
