During its latest earnings call, Take-Two Interactive confirmed that GTA 6 remains on schedule for a November 19 launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, despite ongoing fan worries about another delay.
Take-Two Interactive has reaffirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 is still set to release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The confirmation came during the publisher's quarterly earnings briefing, where it also shared an optimistic financial outlook tied to the game's upcoming launch, according to GameSpot.
CEO Strauss Zelnick told investors during the August 7 earnings call that the company's "excellent first quarter results reflect the power of our portfolio and disciplined execution across all of our labels." He added that due to positive momentum and enthusiasm surrounding the November 19 release, Take-Two is sticking with its Fiscal 2027 Net Bookings projection of $8 billion to $8.2 billion.
As GameSpot notes, every new Take-Two earnings report tends to spark anxiety among fans that a delay announcement is imminent, especially given GTA 6's history—the game was first pushed from its original date to May 2026, then shifted again to November. Rockstar Games has also missed target launch windows on previous titles, feeding into speculation. Adding to that unease, a former Rockstar employee recently suggested he wouldn't be shocked if the game slipped by as much as six months.
For now, though, all signs point to Take-Two staying the course. GameSpot also highlights that fans will get their first extended look at GTA 6 in over a year on August 27, when Netflix hosts exclusive new footage for a limited window—a move that has already drawn criticism from players unhappy that the reveal is tied to a streaming subscription.
